Two decades of infrastructure experience, focused on private AI.
DeepShield AI is the dedicated private-AI arm of IPAU, an Adelaide IT firm that has spent close to twenty years deploying and securing systems for Australian organisations. Every deployment is hands-on. Every conversation is direct.
DeepShield AI is built on IPAU, an Adelaide managed services provider with close to two decades of experience serving clients across education, defence, manufacturing, logistics, and enterprise. Over that time IPAU has managed environments where data handling is not optional and where a misconfiguration has real consequences. Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, the Essential Eight, and endpoint security are not theoretical to us. They are the day job.
Working across those sectors, we kept seeing the same situation: organisations that needed AI capability but could not use the public tools their staff were already reaching for. The data was too sensitive, the regulatory exposure too real, and the contractual promises from overseas providers too thin to rely on. The standard answer from the cloud vendors was an enterprise tier that still sent data offshore.
The real answer is hardware you own, in a building you control, running models that do not phone home. That is what we started building and deploying. DeepShield AI is the structured form of that work, pairing IPAU’s two decades of infrastructure and security experience with private AI for firms that have the same problem and want a local expert team to solve it properly.
Four principles.
Your data, your hardware
We do not store, route, or back up client data on infrastructure we control. The whole point is that the AI lives where the data lives.
Open-weight, not proprietary
We deploy open-weight models because they can be inspected, audited, and run indefinitely without dependence on a US vendor that can change its terms at any time.
Plain English, not pitch deck
We send you a two-page briefing, not a 40-slide deck. We quote real prices. We respect the time of senior practitioners.
Local accountability
Adelaide-based. If something goes wrong, the team that built the system is the team that fixes it. Same time zone, same legal jurisdiction, same accountability.

Jack founded DeepShield AI and leads its solution architecture, with proven experience across the defence, education, and enterprise sectors. He runs every private AI deployment hands-on, from the first conversation through to handover.
The leadership behind DeepShield.
